The magnetizing current has a liner relartionship with torque
As is shown in Chart 3, the transmission torque has a linear relationship with the magnetizing current. The size of the torque can get controlled within larger range. Under normal circumstance, the magnetizing current has a liner relationship with transitive torque within range of 5%~100% rated torque.
Stable slip torque
The slip totational speed between driven rotor and active rotor do not affect the transitive torque when the magnetizing current retain unchanged, as shown in Chart 4, which means, the static friction torque and the dynamic friction torque have no difference. Therefore, the torque can retain constant stably. The features are applied to tension control, users can control the tension of the roll material effectively as long as adjust the magnetizing current accurately.
Prevention heat phenomenon from slip
The friction part will generate hear inevitably or even destryed when it keep continuous sliding. But this device has a complete cooling set, it will generate a lot of heat after long time running and it has a long service life.
Electromagnetic Clutches
What is Electromagnetic Clutch?
Electromagnetic clutches, also referred to as ¡®electromechanical’, actuate electrically but transmit torque mechanically. The basic design of an electromechanical clutch consists of an electromagnetic coil within a metal housing (stator), a rotor connecting to the input source, and an armature that connects to the output source. To engage an electromechanical clutch, the coil is energized creating a magnetic field which pulls the armature friction plate to the rotor friction plate, establishing a frictional mechanical connection. The force between the friction surfaces transmits torque from the input rotor to the output armature. A variation to the friction disc design is a toothed design for timing / position control and for higher torque applications. With no magnetic field present, the armature is pulled back into its default position by a recessed flat spring. This action creates a small air gap between rotor and armature plates, effectively disengaging the output armature and ceasing torque transmission.
